Mobile World Congress (AV-52 and 7A45) -- Novatel Wireless, Inc. (Nasdaq: NVTL), a leading provider of wireless broadband access solutions, today announced that it will be showcasing innovative applications developed for the MiFi(TM) Intelligent Mobile Hotspot platform at Mobile World Congress 2010 in Barcelona, Spain at App Planet in Hall Hall 7, Booth 7A45 from February 15-18.

The Novatel Wireless exclusive MiFi software platform includes features and functionality that transform the MiFi from a connectivity device to a full-scale Intelligent Mobile Hotspot. The MiFi software platform allows any WiFi-enabled device to take advantage of its applications, and its onboard Web server enables the MiFi to connect to remote data locations, retrieve data and present it to the user either online or offline. The platform architecture is designed to ensure that the operator's network is protected, while maintaining the ability for new applications and services to be field-deployed to generate additional ARPU.

Novatel Wireless will be demonstrating applications including:

- AutoVPN: an always-available, secure service-delivery platform for SMB
and enterprise secure remote access. While providing another level of
security for mobile broadband users, MiFi AutoVPN simplifies VPN
configuration and maintenance and is compatible with leading VPN server
gateways.
- NovaDrive: an application that allows users to store and access files
from local storage, removable storage, or cloud storage from multiple
locations on any device that supports a browser and Wi-Fi connection.
Security and location features are also supported for the mobile users
that extend performance beyond storage and retrieval to the cloud.
- MiFi PhotoSharing Application with Eye-Fi: a MiFi application that
enables users to easily and instantly upload photos and video from
wherever they are.
